Information on the packaging regulations
With regard to sales packaging that is sold to private end consumers, our company has joined the nationwide take-back system of Redual GmbH, Kornmarkt 34, 35745 Herborn (customer number 01167), which meets the legal requirements for a nationwide take-back system for packaging. In Germany, sales packaging can therefore be returned to all public municipal collection points (e.g. recycling centers) as well as to Mercedes-Benz and smart sales points. Please find out about the take-back system applicable in your country and use this for disposal.
Information about the battery law
Batteries and accumulators (together: used batteries) must not be disposed of with unsorted municipal waste (domestic waste) after use. Used batteries may contain harmful substances that can harm the environment and health.
In connection with the sale of batteries and accumulators, we use the services of the “Joint Battery Return System Foundation”. As a dealer, in accordance with Section 18 Paragraph 1 of the Battery Act, we are obliged to point out the following to you as a customer:
The end user of batteries and accumulators is obliged to take used batteries to the designated collection points. After use, you can return used batteries free of charge to Mercedes-Benz and smart sales points, to a municipal collection point or to local retailers. Batteries containing pollutants are marked with a symbol consisting of a crossed-out garbage can and the chemical symbol (Cd, Hg or Pb) of the heavy metal that determines the classification as containing pollutants. Batteries that contain more than 0.0005 mass percent mercury (Hg), more than 0.002 mass percent cadmium (Cd) or more than 0.004 mass percent lead (Pb) are marked with the respective chemical symbols of the metals (Hg, Cd, Pb), in which the aforementioned limit value is exceeded.
Information on the electrical law
After use, electrical and electronic devices may not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste (household waste), but must be collected separately. Old devices may contain harmful substances that can harm the environment and health.
As part of the implementation of the ElektroG, we registered with the Old Electrical Equipment Register Foundation (ear Foundation).
Please hand in old devices to the designated take-back systems. In Germany, old devices are taken back by municipal recycling centers. Please find out about the take-back system applicable in your country and use this for disposal. In the territory of the European Union, the return is free of charge and required by law.
All old devices are recycled. In this way, valuable raw materials such as iron, zinc or nickel can be recovered.
